Zen, Yoga & Mental Wellbeing Retreat
A restorative retreat calling those who rarely pause to slow down and look inwards.
Across five days on the beautiful Greek island of Serifos, you’ll practice gentle yoga, zazen meditation and reflective group sessions, surrounded by sounds, smells and sights of nature. This retreat is not about “doing” more, but about softening into stillness, resetting your nervous system, reconnecting with yourself and others. We hope this becomes your yearly antidote to stress, offering deep rest, connection and clarity on what truly matters to you.
The Land:
Kaisanji—“the temple of the mountain and the sea”—is Greece’s first Zen monastery, set on the unspoiled island of Serifos. It blends Japanese Zen philosophy with the simplicity of Cycladic life. Expect quiet beaches, raw nature and a peaceful rhythm that naturally calms the mind and body.
Reflective Group Sessions
Alongside meditation and yoga, our retreat includes reflective practice groups. Slowing down, turning inward, or trying something new can bring up unexpected thoughts and feelings. Reflective groups offer a safe, contained space to explore these experiences, deepen understanding and consolidate what has been felt and experienced in the other practices. In reflective process groups you are faced with how you function in a group setting and the role you take, which can be illuminating regarding the assumptions you hold about yourself and the positions you occupy in relation to others. Through this, you can begin to interact with others in a more authentic and meaningful way.
Your Facilitators
Sabrina — Dietitian & Trainee Psychotherapist
Sabrina specialises in eating disorders therapy, supporting people to explore their relationship with food and their bodies with compassionate curiosity. Her deep interest in the human experience led her to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training in India, bringing a mind–body approach to the retreat. She is also training as a psychotherapist, driven by a desire to better understand the human psyche and support meaningful change. Drawing from these experiences, Sabrina’s well-rounded approach meets each person where they are, honouring their whole experience and empowering their journey of self-unfolding.
Anastasia — Counselling Psychologist
Anastasia, a Registered Counseling Psychologist specialising in addictions, trauma, and anxiety, adopts an integrative approach to therapy, with a particular focus on schema therapy. This allows her to tailor therapeutic sessions to meet the unique needs of her clients. Her compassionate, empathetic, yet direct stance empowers individuals to heal deep-rooted wounds, reconnect with different parts of themselves and break free from unhelpful patterns, fostering meaningful change.
Alexandra — Yoga Teacher
Alexandra, our Yoga Teacher, has been dedicated to yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2003. She offers a gentle yet profound style of yoga that encourages slow, mindful movement and deep connection with the breath. Her approach is based on deep listening to the body and the cultivation of intuition, inviting participants to move with curiosity, kindness, and presence. Through her classes, you are supported in softening, slowing down, and returning to a quieter, more attuned rhythm within.
